GREAT RABBIT SIGHTINGS

Here’s where I’ll be, what I’ll be doing, and where I’ve been.

MASTER THIEVES FROM THE FUTURE SAVE REALITY!

A session of the Stealing Stories for the Devil RPG.

You’re not just master thieves — you’re master thieves from the future who use their special abilities to lie to the universe to save reality itself. And you’re going to need to lie as your perfect (?) heist encounters astonishing twists and turns in this unique zero-prep game where players and GM collaborate to create the scenario and the plan at the same time.

BEST LEAVE THEM GHOSTS ALONE

A session of the Old Gods of Appalachia RPG.

Going to the funeral of a childhood friend’s never an easy thing, but when it’s the funeral of someone you accidentally killed and then brought back to life years ago, well . . . you all have owes, and this one’s about to come due. A horror adventure set in a small town full of memories, ghosts, and promises unpaid.

CRAFTING SCENARIO DESCRIPTIONS

GMs: Learn to craft enticing 1-shot scenario descriptions & attract more of the right players.

Veteran GM and professional writer Matt Steele combines over four decades of experience running convention games with years of pitching screenplays to craft short and effective scenario descriptions.

GMs: Have you ever had the convention game you prepped for hours not run because not enough people signed up? It might have been that folks weren’t enticed by your description — or couldn’t figure out what your game was about.

Have you ever run a convention game where the Players came to play one style of game, but you wanted to run something very different? It may have been because your description didn’t set the right expectations.

I'll walk you through my five-part framework for crafting short scenario descriptions that gives Players enough information to choose your game and arrive ready to play through the type of story you want to run.

We'll then put the framework to use by building out one or two scenario descriptions together.

WHISPERS FROM THE WELL

A session of the Coyote & Crow RPG.

A cult that worships around a remote water well is blamed for the disappearance of an engineer at a nearby new geothermal power station. The cult's charismatic leader claims that the well water has incredible powers. Your team of Suyata (similar to Marshals) is sent to investigate the disappearance. But nothing is adding up and tensions are rising rapidly. Can you find the engineer and diffuse things before anyone gets hurt?

Created and lead by an all Native team, Coyote & Crow is a Nebula Award nominated sci-fi and fantasy RPG set in a First Nations alternate future where colonization never happened.

As someone who didn't grow up in a Native culture, the GM will be following and communicating the author's advice for non-First Nation GMs and Players. Anyone 18+ is welcome to play, but all non-First Nation players must agree to follow the guidelines provided.
