Alexandria, 48 BC. The city stands as a beacon of knowledge and culture, yet now teeters on the edge of ruin. Cleopatra and Ptolemy XIV's bloody struggle for power has thrown Alexandria into chaos, and a desperate Julius Caesar, besieged and cornered, has ignited the harbor in a last-ditch effort to turn the tide of war. But the flames do not heed his command, spreading beyond control and threatening to consume the entire city—including the revered Library of Alexandria.
In the midst of this unfolding catastrophe, you are summoned by a mysterious patron to retrieve a collection of scrolls from the library. Their contents are shrouded in secrecy, but the urgency of your mission suggests they hold more than mere words. As the firestorm rages and the night is illuminated by the glow of burning embers, you must navigate the city's treacherous streets and the hallowed, smoke-filled halls of the library. But as you delve deeper, it becomes clear that some of the library's most ancient secrets are fiercely guarded—not only by its walls but by forces far older and more powerful than you could have imagined. The fate of the scrolls, and perhaps your very souls, hangs in the balance.
